CSG Trampoline
8 members from CSG
last week competed as New Zealand
representatives at the Australian National Trampoline Championships in Bendigo.
Spearheading
excellent results from all were phenomenal performances from our under 10
competitors, Hugh McConnell, Lisa Westerby and Annie Prout.
Hugh collected the
double with gold medals in Individual Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline and
also a silver in Tumbling.
Lisa won gold in
the Double Mini Trampoline event with Annie finishing second.
The dynamic pair
also took silver in Synchronised Trampoline.
Campbell Robertson
was placed third in his 11-12 age group Double Mini Trampoline event with huge
personal best performances.
Also reaching the
medal podium was Nicki Press and Ebony Ellis who were third in 15-16 Women’s Synchronised
Trampoline and Kim Shea placing second in the prestigious Senior International
Double mini trampoline event.
The team arrived
home on Friday night to a great reception of friends and family.
The strength of
the junior competitors in Canterbury has
improving greatly in recent years with the region now rated as New Zealand’s
best.
