Adrian Russell elected to the New Zealand Gymnastics Board
Monday 5th December, 2005
Christchurch Managing Director and scientist Adrian Russell has been elected to the New Zealand Gymnastics Board as a Director for a 2-year term. He replaces outgoing Director Tony Quirk of Blenheim who nominated him.
In last weekends AGM in Wellington it was a close vote between Mark Jacombs of Dunedin and local man Russell.
Russell has led the largest club in New Zealand, the Christchurch School of Gymnastics as President for the past 5 years. Their outstanding success and his work for Gymnastics on the National Advisory committees contributed to his election.
Encouragement and voting support from regions outside of Canterbury made his nomination and election possible.
Michele Hawke retained her place as the National Judging
Co-ordinator and Toby Levine as the newly elected athlete’s representative.
Both are from the Christchurch School of Gymnastics.
